COVID: One Year On And Beyond– A Virtual Event
Wednesday 24 March; 10.30am
The pandemic has had a seismic effect on the disadvantaged in our society who are more likely to live in crowded housing, have unstable jobs and least afford laptops for their children, putting them and their families at greater risk physically, financially and academically.
The Surrey Care Trust has carried out several tranches of research over the last year to better understand not just the cumulative consequences of these challenges on the vulnerable people we support, but also how we can better deliver our services to meet their increasing needs.
As the one year anniversary of the first lockdown in the UK approaches, the Trust has undertaken further research to find out more about the support that people have needed from us and what other forms of help they have required over the 12 months.
Please join us at our event on 24 March, where we will share our insights into our findings and talk about our work to help vulnerable families and disadvantaged people across Surrey to cope through this tough time and thrive beyond.
Dr Ann Kenney, Independent Chair of Surrey Wellbeing Partnership, will also be joining us to discuss the wider implications of COVID19 on mental health in Surrey.
