THE STORY BEHIND THE PICTURE

Celebrating the 10th birthday of the Swingbridge boats. The first boat was launched in 2002, adding a whole new dimension to our work.

Surrey Care Trust has a long track record of service to the community and has been providing expert support to some of the most disadvantaged people in Surrey since 1982.

We were among a number of local care trusts with general charitable aims set up around the country and initially our main role was providing emergency grants for people in need.

The founding aims of Surrey Care Trust, to help people who are the most disadvantaged, are still what motivates our supporters, volunteers and staff today.

Our current work focuses on supporting young people and adults to improve their resilience and skills for life, learning and work, through alternative learning and mentoring.
