Swingbridge community boats

Outdoors activities that nurture skills and confidence

THE STORY BEHIND THE PICTURE A resident from the York Road homeless project learns how to crew Swingbridge1.

Our two Swingbridge boats provide a wonderful environment for people to learn new skills and develop confidence. Read about Kevin’s story here.

Swingbridge1 and Swingbridge2 together are accredited as a training centre by the National Community Boats Association, and Swingbridge2 is also a base for environmental volunteering.

Courses and activities for young people and adults can also be booked by other charities, schools, organisatons, companies and private groups.

In the spring and summer, Swingbridge1 runs relaxing trips on the River Wey.

For more information about booking a trip, course or activity contact Jacqueline O’Connell on 07973 282239 or email us.
