Sixties Dinner Dance
When: Friday 12 May 7.00pm – midnight
Where: Reigate Manor Hotel
The Mayor and Mayoress of Reigate & Banstead, Councillor David Powell and Caroline Durance are hosting a special 1960’s evening in aid of Surrey Care Trust and The Children’s Trust. The evening starts with a sparkling reception and canapés followed by a four course dinner with wines and coffee. The guest speaker is Don Wales, grandson of Sir Malcolm Campbell and nephew of Donald Campbell and there will be dancing to ‘The Radiators’ Sixties band.

Out of the Shadows
When: Saturday 10 June 7.45pm – 11.30pm
Where: Compton Village Hall
Surrey Care Trust supporter Jon Fairclough is hoping to give his London to Edinburgh charity bike ride fundraiser a boost with a benefit gig.
The Out of The Shadows band (in which Jon is the bassist) will be playing on Saturday 10 June at Compton Village Hall from 7.45pm to 11.30 pm. Doors open 7pm.
Tickets cost £12 per person and are available from this JustGiving page. (Please name the people who you are paying for when you make your donation. People will be asked to identify themselves on the door and checked against a list of donors to this page).
Drinks will be on sale. Food is not provided, but you may bring your own.
Jon’s charity bike ride takes place in July will see him cycle from London to Edinburgh and back in just 5 days. That’s 900 miles. in total and 180 miles a day. Over the 5 days Jon will climb 33000 feet. That’s one third of the way to outer space!
