FACE learning for adults
Working with parents

FACE works with a lot of parents, helping them to improve their skills up to date.

Parents may not be looking for immediate employment but FACE helps to keep them in touch with the world of work.

Often these learners talk about their unsuccessful and sometimes unhappy times in school but by re-engaging them in learning we find it starts to transform their attitudes towards their own children’s schooling.

The head teachers at local schools in communities where we have worked report that after participating in FACE courses parents have a more positive and supportive attitude towards their children’s education.

Lack of childcare is an additional barrier for parents of pre-school age children, especially single parents, so FACE provides free crèches.
