Swingbridge Community Boats
When life has brought disappointments and difficulties, and you feel down, angry or rejected, the last place you might expect to find inspiration is on a boat chugging along the waterways of Surrey. However, our two Swingbridge boats provide an ideal environment to bring people out of themselves and build their confidence.
The Swingbridge project was launched in 2002, and both Swingbridge1 and Swingbridge2 are used for training, education activities and team-building.
Swingbridge2 is also a base for conservation volunteering, where people can learn new skills and discover new ways of making a contribution to society.
Our courses and activities can also be booked by other groups and organisations. In the spring, summer and early autumn, Swingbridge1 is available for hire by community organisations for fully-crewed trips.
