Volunteering

Volunteers are vital for the Surrey Care Trust to run our different programmes and activities.

 

As a charity committed to promoting the life-changing benefits of learning, education and skills training for people of all ages, we offer volunteers the opportunity to develop new talents and in many cases to gain nationally-accredited recognition and qualifications.

 

Some of our volunteers use their experience as a stepping stone to a new career; others, including many retired people, want to make a contribution to local communities.

 

 

We are supported by volunteer assistant support workers at our learning centres and our other programmes for young people. We also need more recruits for our Swingbridge volunteer team; in particular we need more people who would be interested in learning to skipper our community boats and take leading roles in Swingbridge activities. Volunteers help with the summer trips and with the environmental work.

Join the Unity Lottery

the Surrey Care Trust participates in the Unity Lottery, the nation's charity lottery.  You pay £1 a week and we receive 50p of that for our work. There is a £25,000 top prize every week.
