Youth leadership training
The Surrey Care Trust is involved in a scheme to engage and enthuse young people in community boating.
We are one of several organisations working with the National Community Boats Association (NCBA) to run the Community Boat Leadership Programme.
Young people are being trained in various aspects of boat handling and the waterway environment.
The aim is to help them develop personal skills that will stand them in good stead in their future lives, while also encouraging them to become champions of boating as a community benefit.
