Swingbridge environmental work
Swingbridge2 is the base for teams of people carrying out environmental conservation and clearance all year
round on Surrey waterways and in nearby parks, nature reserves and green spaces.
Everyone involves makes an important contribution to looking after the local environment while also learning new skills.
We work with Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust to provide placements for offenders sentenced to do
Community Payback. It can be hard work, in all weathers, but it is a constructive way for offenders to serve their sentence.
They see the difference they are making to well-used public open spaces and they can use the time to gain accredited certificates in their newly-acquired skills.
